About the Coding Club
The purpose of this course is to inspire and equip pupils/students with practical skills in the field of programming and Artificial intelligence.
The program aims at training, mentoring, and guiding participants in choosing Information Technology as a career. While the main training areas focus on computer algorithms, programming, and artificial intelligence,participants get the opportunity to receive guidance in other IT-related careers from our trainers.
The course has been divided into levels to accommodate every student who has an interest in IT.
The students will be grouped according to their level of competence with respect to their current classes in their various schools.
There will be regular competitions and awards among participants
Cost of Participation
The cost per student will be dependent on the agreement and negotiation between the school and the company.
The school can negotiate further with the company.
There are two options for the training:
- Coding students will bring their laptops during coding club meeting.
- The School shall make computer laboratory available to students for the training
The duration for each level shall be three months with minimum of two contact hours per week.
Modules for the Coding for Kids
- Level 1
Scratch programming.
Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface which makes it a good place to begin as a programmer. Learn the concept of programming blocks such as loops, variables, motions and move on to simple games and animations.
Age requirement: 6 to 15 years
Code it!
We learn by creating amazing games such as The Big Duck Race 1 to 3, coding images and animations, creating Terminal applications, stunning chart applications and more using Code it!.
App Inventor
MIT App Inventor is an intuitive, visual programming environment that allows everyone – even children – to build fully functional apps for Android phones, iPhones, and Android/iOS tablets.
Minecraft & Hack STEM
From computer science and math to mixed reality, Students will learn Minecraft and Build affordable activities to help students visualize data with Hack STEM
- Level 2
Computer Algorithm, HTML and CSS - Level 3
Python, C# (C-Sharp) or Vb.net - Level 4
Databases( MySQL)
After this students can join Velttech’s main stream programs.
